Generate & Filter Sales Reports

Analyse your sales performance by product, customer, staff, or time period to identify your best sellers and highest-value relationships.

Step-by-step guide

  1. 1

    Open the Sales Report

Go to Reports > Sales Reports. You will see several sub-reports: Sales Summary, Sales by Item, Sales by Customer, Sales by Category, and Sales by Staff. Start with the Sales Summary for a high-level view before drilling into specifics.

  2. 2

    Set the date range

Use the date picker to select a custom range, or choose a quick-select preset — Today, This Week, This Month, Last Month, This Quarter, or This Financial Year. Date filters apply across all Sales Report sub-views.

  3. 3

    Analyse Sales by Item

Tap "Sales by Item" to see a ranked list of products by revenue and quantity sold. This quickly reveals your best sellers and slow-moving items. Sort by Revenue, Quantity, or Profit Margin to get different perspectives on product performance.

  4. 4

    Check Sales by Customer

The "Sales by Customer" view shows your highest-revenue customers for the period. Use this to identify VIP accounts deserving attention, spot customers whose spending has dropped, and plan targeted outreach or loyalty offers.

  5. 5

Filter by payment mode or staff

Use the Filter button to narrow results by payment mode (Cash, UPI, Credit, Card), by a specific staff member, or by customer category. This is useful to measure UPI adoption, evaluate individual sales staff performance, or focus on one customer segment.

  6. 6

Apply the insights to your business

Use best-seller data to prioritise stock procurement, use slow-mover data to run promotions, and use customer data to plan follow-up calls. Reviewing these reports weekly takes 5 minutes and can significantly sharpen business decisions.

Pro Tips

  • Check the "Sales by Hour" breakdown in the POS Sales Report to identify your peak billing hours and schedule staff accordingly.
  • Items with high revenue but low margin deserve attention — consider renegotiating with the supplier or adjusting the selling price.
  • Set a weekly calendar reminder to review your sales report every Monday morning.
